The CDP consists of lakefront communities surrounding two lakes, North Twin Lake and South Twin Lake. The lakes, which do not have a discernible surface outlet, are part of the North Raccoon River watershed, a tributary of the Des Moines River. Twin Lakes State Park occupies the surface area of the two lakes plus small portions of the shoreline.

[1] According to real estate listings the island covers roughly 10 acres (4.0 ha). [2] The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources surveyed the island in 2002.
Manson Lake is a 236 acres (96 ha) lake located in Oneida County, Wisconsin with a maximum depth of 54 ft (16 m). The lake is surrounded by forest on the south end and houses and lodges on the north end. [1] [2] On the north end also sits the ghost town of Manson, Wisconsin. U.S. Route 8 also passes Manson Lake.

Manson is a ghost town in Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States. Manson was located on Manson Lake in the town of Woodboro along what is now US 8 and the Canadian National Railway, 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Heafford Junction. The town was marked on USGS maps as late as 1939. [1]
