The Lamb Homestead is located in a rural area of southern Ledyard, on Lambtown Road east of Center Groton Road (Connecticut Route 117).The property now consists of about 16 acres (6.5 ha), most of which is south of the road, with the farmhouse on the north side and a barn on the south side.
Ledyard (/ ˈ l ɛ dʒ ɜːr d / LEH-jerd) is a Town in New London County, Connecticut, United States, located along the Thames River.The town is named after Colonel William Ledyard, a Revolutionary War officer who was killed at the Battle of Groton Heights. [3]
The property remained in the Lester family until 1908; the area surrounding the farmhouse was given to the town by the Graves family owner in 1970.
