Joseph Benjamin Hutto (April 26, 1926 – June 12, 1983) [1] was an American blues musician. Influenced by Elmore James , Hutto became known for his slide guitar playing and declamatory style of singing.
The first was a vintage 1964 red Airline "JB Hutto" model originally distributed by Montgomery Ward department store. [ 157 ] [ 159 ] Though used by several artists, White's attachment to the instrument raised its popularity to the extent that Eastwood Guitars began producing a modified replica around 2000. [ 157 ]
