Decatur High School is a comprehensive public high school located in the rural, distant community of Decatur, Arkansas, United States. The school provides secondary education for students in grades 7 through 12. It is one of nine public high schools in Benton County, Arkansas and the sole high school administered by the Decatur School District.
However, in 1931 a law was passed stating that in order for a school district to consolidate, the voters in each district must approve. [5] In the 1932–1933 school year, Arkansas had 3,086 school districts, with 1,990 of them each operating a school for white students that only employed a single teacher.
Decatur is located in western Benton County at (36.337541, -94.456721). [4] Arkansas Highway 59 passes through the city, leading north 6 miles (10 km) to Gravette and 13 miles (21 km) to the Missouri border, and south 13 miles (21 km) to Siloam Springs.

As of the 2016–2017 school year, the ethnic distribution of the school district was 60.5% White, 35.5% Hispanic, 1.1% African American, 0.8% Asian, 0.5% American Indian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 1.6% from two or more races. Economically disadvantaged students made up 46.1% of the student body, compared with 59.0% for all students in Texas. [4]
Academics Plus has partnered with the University of Central Arkansas, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas at Monticello to offer twelve concurrent credit courses in math, English, history and music. In 2011, a total of 210 concurrent credit hours were earned by the 23 graduating seniors.
