Mel Krause (February 4, 1928 – June 13, 2008) was an American college baseball coach and player at the University of Oregon. He also played professional baseball in the Northwest League. Krause also played college basketball for Oregon and coached two different high school basketball teams to Oregon state basketball championships.
Wong attended Sprague High School in Salem, Oregon, and Oregon State University. [1] Playing college baseball for the Oregon State Beavers, Wong was a member of the 2007 College World Series champions. [2] In 2007 and 2008, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League. [3] [4]
The largest event in Salem is the Oregon State Fair at the end of August through Labor Day. Located in the Oregon State Fairgrounds in North Salem, the fair offers exhibits, competitions and carnival rides. Other events such as concerts, horse shows and rodeos take place at the Oregon State Fair and Expo Center throughout the year. [48]
