The Helmand province campaign was a series of military operations conducted by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) forces against Taliban insurgents and other local groups in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. Throughout the 2001-2021 war in Afghanistan, Helmand was a hotbed of insurgent activities [10] [11] [12] and was often considered at the time to be Afghanistan's "most dangerous" province.
