La Victoria is an American brand of Mexican food products, in particular jar and bottled salsas. They were founded in Los Angeles in 1917, and introduced the first jar salsa product in the US, Salsa Brava, a true Mexican-style salsa, still sold today. [ 1 ]

The springs were developed by J.O. Langford beginning in 1909. Langford was a Mississippi native who had contracted malaria as a child. Searching for a cure, he heard of reputedly curative hot springs on the Rio Grande while visiting Alpine, Texas. Langford made a homestead claim, sight unseen.
La Victoria is a census-designated place (CDP) in Starr County, Texas, United States. La Victoria underwent some changes prior to the 2010 census. It gained area, had portions taken to form new CDPs, and lost additional area. Only a small part of 2010 La Victoria CDP was within the 2000 La Victoria CDP.

Victoria is a city and the county seat of Victoria County, Texas, United States. The population was 65,534 as of the 2020 census. [4] The three counties of the Victoria Metropolitan Statistical Area had a population of 111,163 as of the 2000 census. Its elevation is 95 ft (29 m). Victoria is located 30 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico.
