Ybor City (/ ˈ iː b ɔːr / EE-bor) [2] is a historic neighborhood just northeast of downtown Tampa, Florida, United States.It was founded in the 1880s by Vicente Martinez-Ybor and other cigar manufacturers and populated by thousands of immigrants, mainly from Cuba, Spain, and Italy.
The Ybor City Historic District (/ ˈ iː b ɔːr / EE-bor) [3] is a U.S. National Historic Landmark District (designated as such on December 14, 1990) located in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida. The district is bounded by 6th Avenue, 13th Street, 10th Avenue and 22nd Street, East Broadway between 13th and 22nd Streets.

The Ybor Factory Building is a historic site in Tampa, Florida, United States located at 1911 North 13th Street. The main factory and its surrounding support buildings cover an entire city block between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenues and 13th and 14th Streets in the Ybor City Historic District section of the Ybor City neighborhood. Ybor City, the new name for the town, grew quickly. Even though Ybor opposed Tampa's annexation of Ybor City, it was incorporated as Tampa's Fourth Ward on June 2, 1887. [ 2 ] In a short amount of time, the new city grew to 10,000 people, and had numerous factories, restaurants, social clubs, hotels, stores, and homes. [ 2 ]
The local post office at 3500 W. Court St. was selected because its 100,000 square feet can accommodate the modern sorting equipment needed to process tens of thousands of packages each day.
The building is labeled with a historic marker, which was sponsored in 1998 by The City of Tampa, Ybor City Development Corporation, and Florida Department of State Secretary of State, Sandra B. Mortham. The marker reads: Organized in 1901, the German-American Club was one of the few non-Latin ethnic clubs in Tampa.

It is an organization of LGBT bars, nightclubs, restaurants, shops, nonprofit organizations, throughout the West Coast of Central Florida, with its headquarters in Historic Ybor City.
