Meher Baba (born Merwan Sheriar Irani; 25 February [O.S. 17 February] 1894 – 31 January 1969) was an Indian spiritual master who said he was the Avatar, or God in human form, of the age.
Perfect Master is the English term Meher Baba began to use in his writing as early as 1925 [1] to denote the Eastern idea of a sadguru or a qutub ().A Perfect Master, according to Baba, is a God-realized person (one whose limited individualized consciousness has merged with God) who can use his Divine attributes of Infinite Power, Knowledge and Bliss for the spiritual upliftment of others. Kenneth Lux, Ph.D. writes: "God Speaks is Meher Baba's major book and it is famously difficult. But not only is it Baba's major book, it is his only book. All other books by Meher Baba, such as the Discourses and Listen Humanity, are not written as books, as God Speaks is, but are collections of essays and messages." [4] [5] [6]
Dictated by Meher Baba during 1959-1962 to his close disciple Bhau Kalchuri, the prayer-poem expressively describes the all-pervading nature of God through many attributes, from simple to sublime. [ 1 ]
Meher Baba uses the term "involution" to mean the inner path of a spiritual aspirant toward Self-realization. He divides involution into seven stages he calls "planes," and describes different experiences and powers had on each, until the Goal of full enlightenment is achieved at the seventh plane.

A mast (from Persian مست mast), [1] in Meher Baba's teaching, is a person who is overwhelmed with love for God, accompanied with external disorientation resembling intoxication. The word was coined by Meher Baba and originates from the Sufi term mast-Allah meaning "intoxicated with God" [2] from Persian mast, literally meaning "intoxicated."
