Oak Hill Academy is a co-educational, private, Christian secondary school in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, United States. Oak Hill enrolls approximately 120 students in grades 8–12, and is 100% boarding. It is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and is authorized to enroll international students. [3]
Coach Smith’s Oak Hill Warriors were crowned "National High School Champions" nine times (1993, 1994, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2012, 2016). [3] He has coached 32 McDonald's All-Americans and has had 34 former players go on to the NBA including 16 1st round picks. Smith retired following the end of the 2021-22 high school basketball season.
Jackson played high school basketball at Oak Hill High School in Oak Hill, West Virginia where he won the Bill Evans Award as the West Virginia High School Player of the Year in 1996. [2] Jackson originally committed to play college basketball at Tennessee but transferred to Marshall after his freshman year. [3]
Oak Hill is known to have had a strong football tradition, winning the Class A state championship in 1982. More recently, Oak Hill has been known for the success of their girls' basketball program. The girls' team was Class 2A state runner-up in the 2007–08 and 2008–09 seasons, as well as the 2016–2017 season.
He grew up playing football and basketball, as well as taking part in shot put and discus throw. [2] McCormack played basketball for Norfolk Academy in Norfolk, Virginia before transferring to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. [3] He lost about 40 lbs (18 kg) in his first year at Oak Hill.

Oak Hills often is referred to as "OHHS" by its students and faculty. It is run by the Oak Hills Local School District. With approximately 2,300 students [3] enrolled annually, Oak Hills is one of the largest public high schools in Ohio. It is a member of the 10-school Greater Miami Conference. [6] [7]
