The Duramax I4 engine is a family of turbocharged diesel I4 engines sold by General Motors in 2.5 and 2.8 liter sizes as an option for the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Chevrolet Express, and GMC Savana in southeast Asia and Oceania (Australia / New Zealand) from 2012, and in North America from 2016 through 2022.
The Chevrolet Van or Chevy Van (also known as the Chevrolet/GMC G-series vans and GMC Vandura) is a range of vans that was manufactured by General Motors from the 1964 to 1996 model years. Introduced as the successor for the rear-engine Corvair Corvan/Greenbrier , the model line also replaced the panel van configuration of the Chevrolet Suburban .
The only vehicles using the new revision of the 4.3 L (262 cu in) were the half-ton versions of the Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra (2007–2013) and Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana (2008–2014). On March 7, 2014, the last 4.3 L (262 cu in) engine rolled off the line at Romulus Powertrain.

The 6.6L Duramax diesel engine (VIN code "L") is used on 2010 interim and 2011 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans and 2011 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra HD trucks with RPO ZW9 (chassis cabs or trucks with pickup box delete). The LGH engine is rated at 335 bhp (250 kW) at 3,100 rpm and 685 lb⋅ft (929 N⋅m) at 1,600 rpm.
It was replaced by the 4.8 L Vortec 4800 LR4 for the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra trucks and 2003 Express/Savana vans. In C/K trucks, the 5000 produces 230 hp (172 kW) net flywheel at 4600 rpm and 285 lb⋅ft (386 N⋅m) net flywheel torque at 2,800 rpm.
