Kim Hyun-joong (Korean: 김현중; Hanja: 金賢重; born June 6, 1986) is a South Korean actor, singer and songwriter. [1] He is a member of the boy band SS501 and played roles in the Korean dramas Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss .
SS501 is a South Korean boy band consisting of five members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong, Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun. [1] They debuted in 2005 with the EP Warning , which included their first number one song, "Never Again".
During 2005–2010, Kim has had two solo songs from SS501 albums: "Rize Up" from Kokoro, [1] and "Please Be Nice to Me" from SS501 Solo Collection. [2] In 2008, he released "Thank You" digital single, a theme song from We Got Married and was also included in SS501 mini album Find. [3]

[1]This was the first album to release after the return of Kim Hyun-joong (participating in Boys Over Flowers during previous album promotions,) and Park Jung-min (who was previously participating in musical, Grease.
The group debuted on 8 June 2005 with five members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong, Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun. Although all the members moved to different agencies, after their contracts with DSP Media had expired in June 2010, the group has, according to its leader Kim Hyun-joong, not disbanded. [1]
Break Down is the debut Korean solo mini album of Kim Hyun-joong of South Korean boy band SS501.It was released on 7 June 2011 under KeyEast Entertainment. [1] A Limited Edition was released on 23 June 2011, with a bonus DVD with music videos and behind-the-scene footages. [2]
In addition, the album includes the original and acoustic version of Kim Hyun-joong's first solo track, "Thank You" (고맙다). Two songs in the album, "You are my heaven" and "Thank You", became theme songs of MBC's reality TV show, We Got Married, in which Kim Hyun-joong was part of the show with Hwangbo. [4] [5]
SS301 is a subgroup of the South Korean boy band SS501.It is composed of three SS501 members: Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong and Kim Hyung-jun.. Double s 301 made their unofficial debut under DSP Media in 2008 with the EP, "UR Man," as "SS501 Special Project Group" in the absence of SS501 members, Kim Hyun-joong and Park Jung-min.
