The Green Dragon Tavern was located at Green Dragon Lane (today's Union Street) in Boston's North End. [2] At 0.75 acres (0.30 ha) in size, it was one of the largest structures in Boston. Stoughton was given the then-prestigious Green Dragon Tavern for his social status, one of Boston's most significant architectural and historical landmarks c. 1676.
