The Divine Life Society (DLS) is a Hindu spiritual organization and an ashram, founded by Swami Sivananda Saraswati in 1936, at Muni Ki Reti, Rishikesh, India.Today Divine Life Society has branches around the world, with the headquarters situated in Rishikesh.
He established Sivananda Ashram, the headquarters of the DLS, on the bank of the Ganges at Muni Ki Reti, 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) from Rishikesh, and lived most of his life there. [5] [4] Subsequently, Swami Atmananda founded Swargashram in 1908; Sivananda Ashram was established by Swami Sivananda in 1936.
