The Bat-Signal is a distress signal device appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, as a means to summon the superhero, Batman.It is a specially modified searchlight with a stylized emblem of a bat affixed to the light, allowing it to project a large bat symbol onto cloudy night skies over Gotham City.
Misfit (Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe) is a fictional character in the DC Comics Universe.She first appeared in Birds of Prey #96 (September 2006) as a wannabe Batgirl, taking on the name and wearing a homemade Batgirl costume; although Black Canary and Huntress dissuade her from continuing to use the monicker, she subsequently creates her own superhero identity as Misfit.
