Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in 2017. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani [1] (Arabic: محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن جاسم بن جبر آل ثاني; born 1 November 1980) is a Qatari diplomat, economist, and politician who has been serving as the Prime Minister of Qatar since 7 March 2023 [2] and Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2016. From 2010 until 2014, he worked at the office of the Crown Prince at the Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar .
In January 2021 the United States, represented by the United States Department of Defense, awarded Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani ( Prime Minister ) with the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, one of the highest honors bestowed by the US to officials.
