Lester Bowles Pearson PC OM CC OBE (23 April 1897 – 27 December 1972) was a Canadian politician, diplomat, statesman, and scholar who served as the 14th prime minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968.
Landon Carter "Lucy" Pearson OC (née Mackenzie; 16 November 1930 – 28 January 2023) was a Canadian Senator and a children's rights advocate. She was the daughter-in-law of former Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson, through her marriage to his son Geoffrey Pearson.

Pearson Canadian International Peacekeeping Training Centre was created as an offshoot of the now-defunct Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies and became an independent organisation in its own right in 2001.
The Lester B. Pearson School Board is an English school board that was created in 1998 [2] when 8 previous school boards joined. It oversees 39 elementary schools, 12 secondary schools, 2 adult education centres and 4 vocational training centres, and 3 International Language Centres in which more than 20,000 students are enrolled and a territory from Verdun westward to the Ontario border. The medal was first announced in 1979 and named in honour of Lester B. Pearson, Nobel Peace Prize winner and Canada's fourteenth Prime Minister. The medal was to be selected by a jury of "eminent Canadians" and awarded by the Governor General of Canada on United Nations Day , October 24. [ 1 ]
