Docshot, Ruger is excellent when it comes to repairing their guns. If the problem was from normal wear or from abuse, they can charge you for parts and labor. Like any other company, Ruger doesn't guarantee their guns won't wear out but rather protect you from defective parts and workmanship.
Ruger set up the mini 30 for firing standard brass cased, boxer primer ammo. The second part is the Tula ammo is set up for Soviet block full auto AK-47 rifles to prevent slam fires in full auto. The Berdan primer cup is harder then standard boxer primers and the primer is set a few thousands deeper into the primer cup to prevent slam fires.

I have a Charter Arms Pathfinder 22 and it works great. Charter Arms only make stainless revolvers. My 38 is a Taurus 856 an I like it a lot. Is is affordable, reliable and the fit and finish is good. People think you only should buy "brand names" because of the resale. I don't care because I have no intention of selling them.
I pocket carry EC9s and it fits really well in a DeSantis pocket holster. In the front pocket of Duluth Trading Company Firehose pants it is just a barely visible bump. I called Ruger and was instructed by a tech to bash the slide with a rubber mallet until it returned to its proper place, which I did (I did not feel a bit comfortable with that procedure). That procedure did not work this time. So back to Ruger it went for the third time. Ruger decided to destroy the pistol and send me a replacement.

However I own several ruger double actionns (GPs, SPs, Security Six, and Redhawk) and read enough of quality control issues stories lately. Even my last SP101 in 327 federal had minor issues in need of attention. With the price of Freedom arms $2,963 as pictured, I’m revisiting Ruger for my next purchase down the road.
