Eloika Lake is a lake in northern Spokane County in the U.S. state of Washington. The lake is located along the West Branch Little Spokane River as it flows south through the foothills of the Selkirk Mountains. The lake's proximity to the city of Spokane and its location just one mile from U.S. Route 2 make it a popular location for fishing.
The mission was built near the HBC's Fort Colville, on the bluff then overlooking Kettle Falls on the Columbia River. Fort Spokane was a U.S. Army frontier outpost in Lincoln County, Washington. Located at the confluence of the Columbia and Spokane rivers, it separated the Colville and Spokane tribes from Spokane. The fort was closed in 1929. [7]
The Spokane River runs immediately to the north of the historic district as it cuts a deep gorge flowing west from the Spokane Falls just upstream.
