Gerda Steyn (born 3 March 1990) is a South African marathon and ultramarathon athlete. She set the Comrades Marathon down-run record in 2023 with a mark of 5:44:54, becoming the fourth woman under 6 hours for that race.
In 2015, she won the Beijing Marathon held in Beijing, China with a time of 2:27:31. In 2017, she won the Cape Town Marathon held in Cape Town, South Africa with a time of 2:30:22. [2] In 2019, she finished in 2nd place in the marathon event of the Ottawa Race Weekend held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. [3]
