Since 2003, 'My Karachi' themed exhibitions are held annually at Expo Center Karachi where companies and traders of Karachi as well as foreign exhibitors market their products. This three-day long exhibition is organized annually by the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The products are showcased for around one million visitors.

He died on 17 November 2015 at Karachi International Airport on his way back to Lahore. He was waiting to board a plane after attending Karachi International Book Fair held at Karachi Expo Centre. His cause of death was a serious Heart Attack. Among his survivors were his wife, five sons and three daughters. [3] He is buried in his hometown Jhang.
