The provided magazine 7.62x51 are too big (the round rolls in there and mis feeds), and 223 are too small to even load.

Just called Ruger customer service and it turns out that there is a kit to convert a Ruger American Predator rifle with the rotary mag to the AI style mag. It only cost me $19 + shipping to get it too. The conversion will only work if you have one of the green stocks with the removable mag section like in the pic.

Ruger American Ranch "Compact" 7.62x39. I bought one of Ruger's compact American stocks from shop ruger.com and it fits perfectly on the new American ranch 7.62x39 rifle. The stock is all black and has the same recoil pad as the original, only difference is a 12.5 LOP and is perfect if you want a nice compact rifle.
Hello everyone, So I have a Ruger American Ranch in 350 legend. I plan on giving this to my son for his first deer rifle this year but the stock is the standard size with a LOP of 13.75” I believe. I’m looking for the compact stock which has a 12.5” LOP. I’m not having much luck finding anything and Ruger seems to always be out of stock.

Don't know why it wouldn't adjust down to 3 lbs. but it would not. Still getting 1/2-5/8" groups @ 100 yds. with this little gun with federal american eagle fmj ammo.
