Narsingh Deo (January 2, 1936 – January 13, 2023) was an Indian-American computer scientist. He served as a professor and the Charles N. Millican Endowed Chair of the Department of Computer Science, University of Central Florida .

The Erdős–Gallai theorem is a result in graph theory, a branch of combinatorial mathematics.It provides one of two known approaches to solving the graph realization problem, i.e. it gives a necessary and sufficient condition for a finite sequence of natural numbers to be the degree sequence of a simple graph.

Informally, this type of graph is a set of objects called vertices (or nodes) connected by links called edges (or arcs), which can also have associated directions.
The induced subgraphs of this graph are called unit distance graphs. A seven-vertex unit distance graph, the Moser spindle, requires four colors; in 2018, much larger unit distance graphs were found that require five colors. [6] The whole infinite graph has a known coloring with seven colors based on a hexagonal tiling of the plane.
