Nether Providence High School was a part of the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. Nether Providence High School was founded as a small, rural high school in 1924. However, population grew throughout the 1950s and 1960s, leading to additions in 1952 and 1963. The building was shared with Nether Providence Junior High School.

The Ches-Mont League is a high school sports league primarily located in Chester County, Pennsylvania in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Currently, the league consists of thirteen high schools, divided into two divisions. Twelve of the schools are from Chester County, with one from Delaware County.

Matthew Furjanic Jr. (born October 26, 1950) is an American basketball coach. He was head coach for Robert Morris University men's basketball team between 1979 and 1984, Marist College men's basketball from 1984 to 1986, the Pitt Greensburg Bobcats from 1995 to 2000 and the Polk State Eagles between 2000 and 2017.
Strath Haven High School is the product of a 1983 merger between the former Swarthmore High School and Nether Providence High School.
