Green Lantern: Sleepers is a trilogy created by Christopher J. Priest and written by Mike Baron, Michael Ahn, and Priest. Each book focuses on a different Green Lantern—Kyle Rayner, Alan Scott, and Hal Jordan, respectively. Pocket has published a series of Justice League of America novels.
Moving to DC Comics, Owsley had a run as writer of Green Lantern when the character was exclusive to the anthology series Action Comics Weekly from 1988 to 1989. Owsley wrote the Green Lantern serial issues #601–607, left part way through a story arc and then returned for issues #621–635.
Green Lantern proved popular and was given his own series, Green Lantern, later that year. Most of his adventures were set in New York. In 1941, Alan Scott was paired with a sidekick named Doiby Dickles, a rotund Brooklyn taxi driver, who would appear on a regular basis until 1949. In 1948, Alan also got a canine sidekick named Streak.
