A Current Affair is an American television newsmagazine program that aired in syndication from July 28, 1986, to August 30, 1996, before it was briefly rebroadcast from March to October 2005. The program was produced by Fox Television Stations , [ 1 ] and based at Fox 's New York City flagship station WNYW , starting as a local production in 1986.

Elliott was born in Everton, Liverpool, England, but grew up in Lewisham, New South Wales, Australia.He was educated at Christian Brothers' High School, Lewisham. [2] While studying as a Sydney student, Elliott worked part-time on a radio show and ended up on Good Morning Australia [3] He also appeared as the Australian anchorman for the 1984 Olympic Concert Gala.
