Arizona's 4th legislative district is one of 30 in the state, consisting of a section of Maricopa County. As of 2023, there are 70 precincts in the district, all in Maricopa, with a total registered voter population of 168,929. [1] The district has an overall population of 244,298. [2]
While the old 4th was easily the most Democratic district in Arizona, the new 4th was far and away the most Republican district in Arizona, and one of the most Republican districts in the West. The 7th district is majority-Hispanic and covers most of the Mexico–United States border in Arizona, including parts of Tucson and Yuma. The incumbent is Democrat Raúl Grijalva , who was re-elected with 63.5% of the vote in 2024. [ 1 ]
