I have a pair of 580p blue mirrored for everyday wear and a pair with 580G green mirrored for fishing. 580p are plastic lenses and 580g are glass. The plastic are lighter but scratch easier.

I don't think the frames are as comfortable as my Oakleys, but the glass is better and the warranty is way better. The customer support from Oakley in the past has been terrible and I'll probably never buy another pair.
Location Santa Rosa, ca. My PB: Between 6-7 lbs. Favorite Bass: Largemouth. Favorite Lake or River California Delta > Clearlake. Super User. Posted April 6, 2022. I was pleasantly surprised that my local fishing store carried Bajio Sunglasses. I’ve been curiously interested in them since I seen them mentioned here on the Bass-Forum.
Favorite Lake or River Atchafalaya Spillway. Posted March 16, 2016. Green Lens is the best lense for every day, driving, and inshore fishing. People who are used to the blue lens fines that the green lens lets in to much light.. You can wear the green lens longer in your day since the blue is darker.

I did a bunch of research on glasses recently and had my mind made up to go with the 580G green mirror. Then I had to go to an OSHA training and learned glass vs polycarbonate impact rating was 60mph vs 380mph.

Low light; light amber will brighten the contrast the darker background, the brighter the light the darker the lens should be. Light green is very similar to yellow or light amber.
Here in Florida with high humidity and temps, glasses will fog some no matter what. The open style lens seems to fog the least. I don’t know if the Montauk is a new Costa model, but is described as: “ Fishing functionality is the focus of Montauk, a large, full-wrap and highly ventilated frame.”.
Costa Rincon glass and Oakley Splitshot shallow water Prizm. Both green lenses amber tint. Costa's are more stylish, fit much better on my big head, and have a nice clear overall view.
Profit margins on sunglasses are enormous. They're mostly made in China/Thailand/Malaysia. Costas probably cost $15 to make if that, even with the glass lenses. So you're paying retail for a brand name (you know the feeling when you roll up to a waterfront bar with a Costa shirt, hat and sunglasses), and a lifetime warranty.
