Amazon Fraud Dept. call. Just got a scam call from the 'Amazon fraud department'. Of course, I didn't answer it. They had the signature wording throughout the voicemail I heard, with multiple instances of "urgent", "your account was compromised", and everyone's favorite: Kindly. Usually, I just get the auto warranty or insurance calls.

The hacker changed the email and password and deleted the addresses. He "returned" like $700 worth of stuff for credits. I've called Amazon every day for the last 3 days. They keep saying fraud will call back in 24 hours, but they never do. Customer Service can't help, because there are no addresses for them to verify.

They will get your personal information, to ship your "free" items, and at the very end will ask you for your payment information to activate a service to use the item.

I just received 2 scam calls nearly back to back. I'm not sure how the scam works. They let me know they were from Amazon and that a macbook had been purchased on my account. Indian speaking. I said, I have not ordered a macbook pro. And he repeated the question again.
I got a call an hour ago from a “705” number claiming to be amazon saying that someone purchased an iphone 11 on my amazon credit card.
