    Haven for Hope is a place of hope and new beginnings for people in Bexar County who are experiencing homelessness. It is made up of two major programs: the Courtyard and the Transformational Campus. Both are on the Haven for Hope property and require a visit to the Intake Department to get started.

    The Intake Department at Haven for Hope is open Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm to enroll individuals experiencing homelessness into one of Haven’s various programs. All of Haven for Hope programs provide indoor sleeping and access to housing and sustainability services.

    The Haven for Hope “one-stop” design was born after 18 months of research of over 200 homeless shelters across the country. Prior to Haven for Hope, many organizations in San Antonio served the homeless in some capacity; however, their services were geographically distant and administratively disconnected from one another.

    Haven for Hope’s Veteran’s Service team works with veterans experiencing homelessness beyond their immediate shelter needs. We help them establish Social Security disability and Veterans Affairs benefits and apply for other federal and state resources that can greatly improve their quality of life.

    Haven for Hope welcomes groups of any size to serve on our campus. Projects can include washing sleeping mats, sorting donations, playing Bingo, and more. We are also open to hearing any group volunteer ideas you may have.

    Want to learn more about how Haven for Hope is transforming lives in San Antonio? Take a tour of our 22-acre campus. Docent-led tours are offered throughout the week and last approximately 90 minutes. The walking tour which is wheelchair accessible will be both informative and inspirational.

    Haven’s South Campus is a low-barrier emergency shelter where individuals experiencing homelessness can take refuge as needed. Through our many community partners, clients on South Campus have access to three meals daily, safe indoor sleeping, shower facilities, medical care, mental health services, and all of the resources Haven offers.
