Burnham Overy Staithe Mill is a six-storey tower mill with an ogee cap with gallery. The cap is winded by a fantail and the four Double Patent sails of 12 bays [2] are carried on a cast-iron windshaft. The windshaft also carries a wooden clasp arm brake wheel. The reserve lies to the north of the A149 coast road, starting just west of Burnham Overy Staithe and extending west past Holkham to Beach Road, Wells-next-the-Sea.
