By mid-2024, several more institutes had been accredited at ATS. They included Kairos University which was founded in 2021 by Sioux Falls Seminary, South Dakota, Evangelical Theological Seminary Pennsylvania, Houston Graduate School of Theology Texas and Taylor College and Seminary in Edmonton, Alberta. In April 1969, John D. Brooke founded Trinity College and Theological Seminary and in mid-1978, Trinity moved to metropolitan Evansville, Indiana, and changed its focus from offering traditional on-campus degree programs to its current emphasis on distance education, providing undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate courses for self-directed adult learners.
In 1978, Ralph Richardson took over the leadership role, and a site was purchased and classes started in 1980, at which time the name of the school was changed to Carolina Bible College. Bill Korver became the college's fourth president in April 2004. In April 2012, the name of the college was changed to Carolina College of Biblical Studies. [1]
Early in 1980, James S. Wells met with Rev. Ken Davis and Rev. Clint Kaufield to discuss establishing a Bible college in Indianapolis. Baptist Bible College of Indianapolis opened in the Fall of 1980 as an evening school. The school incorporated in 1981. Despite a lack of accreditation, they started to offer bachelor's degrees in 1983. [1]
Indiana Bible College (IBC) focuses on preparing students for careers in professional ministry. The college offers Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts programs in Biblical Studies, Worship Studies, and Missiology with academic minors in religious education, missiology, social science, theology, communications and media, and worship studies, youth ministries, and urban ministries.
The Methodist Church operated a new Genesee Junior College at the site from 1947 to 1951, when Elim Bible Institute bought the 75-acre (300,000 m 2) campus and buildings for $75,000. [8] Two campus buildings, Genesee Wesleyan Seminary, and Genesee College Hall , were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
