This is a list of the archdeacons of Meirionnydd. The Archdeacon of Meirionydd is the priest in charge of the archdeaconry of Meirionydd, an administrative division of the Church in Wales Diocese of Bangor. The archdeaconry comprises the five deaneries of Ardudwy, Arwystili, Cyfeiliog/Mawddwy, Llyn/Eifionydd and Ystumaner. [1]
He became the rector of Llandudno and archdeacon of Merioneth in 1809 and senior vicar of Bangor in 1810. He was also appointed to the parishes of Edern and Llanbedr-Dyffryn-Clwyd in 1819. In 1821, he was the Bampton Lecturer at the University of Oxford , speaking on the topic of "The Moral Tendency in the Divine Revelation".
Andrew Carroll Jones (born May 1961) [1] is a Church in Wales priest who served as Archdeacon of Merioneth from 2010 [2] until 2023. Jones was educated at Bangor University (North Wales) and the Church of Ireland Theological Institute. [3] He was a Minor Canon at Bangor Cathedral from 1985 to 1988.

Wallis Huw Wallis Thomas (10 March 1906 – 2001) was a Church in Wales priest who, at the time of his death, was the oldest working priest in Britain. He was Archdeacon of Merioneth from 1959 to 1976, but was still thought of as the Archdeacon long after his retirement, and was generally known as "the Arch".
