Tiksi (Russian: Ти́кси, IPA: [ˈtʲiksʲɪ]; Yakut: Тиксии, Tiksii – lit. a moorage place ) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement ) and the administrative center of Bulunsky District in the Sakha Republic , Russia , located on the shore of the Buor-Khaya Gulf of the Laptev Sea , southeast of the delta of the Lena River .
