Imadegawa Street (今出川通 いまでがわどおり Imadegawa Dōri [1]) is a major street that crosses the city of Kyoto from east to west, running approximately 7 km from the gate of the Ginkaku-ji (east end) to the vicinity of the railway crossing west of the Tōjiin Ritsumeikan University Station (west end).

The Yoshida dormitory (吉田寮, Yoshidaryō) is a student dormitory on the Yoshida Campus of Kyoto University. Built in 1913, it is the oldest student dormitory in Japan. Its associated dining hall, built in 1889, is the oldest structure on any Kyoto University campus. [1] [2]
