Mandeville is a city in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, United States. As of the 2020 United States census, [2] its population was 13,192. Mandeville is located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, south of Interstate 12. It is located directly across the lake from the city of New Orleans and its southshore suburbs.

In July 1989, the Henshaw Sanctuary was created with the sale and donation of the unsold portions of the subdivision by Mr. H. Marsh Henshaw, III, of Sulphur. Subsequent additions of several undeveloped lots came in August 1990 and February 1992. [2] In 1993, 27 acres were added on the north side reaching up to La. Hwy. 82. [2]
The community is located on U. S. Route 190 5 mi (8.0 km) southeast of Mandeville and 3.5 miles northwest of Lacombe. [2] The Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge lies along the coast of Lake Pontchartrain south of the community between Mandeville and Slidell. As of the census [8] of 2000, there were 525 people, 197 households, and 142 families in the village. The population density was 344.0 inhabitants per square mile (132.8/km 2).
