2: Yes it's possible to run Optifine on Fabric via the Optifabric mod. It's not recommended however, as Optifine mucks about with the game's code in a number of ways that make it not play nicely with other mods. It's generally preferable (for both compatibility and performance) to use the mods from this list of alternatives.
Switched from Optifine to Fabric and it was the best choice. Optifine has been my go-to addition to minecraft since the old days because it used to be so much more difficult to mod your minecraft and Optifine made it quite easy. The Shaders optionality, overall performance and the zoom function are very much the reason why I use it.
As Optifabric support ends in 1.16 and better performance enhancing mod on the rise like Sodium, I wanted ask if you know any alternate mods for these following Optifine features: Optifine CTM (connected textures) Shaders. Optifine CEM (Custom entity models) Optifine Emissive Textures. Thanks in advance!!

Download optifine from optifine.net and cut and paste it into mods folder instead of installing it. If you are using sodium mod then it wont work. For the mods folder go to search bar and type " %appdata% '' and then .minecraft and then mods. You need Optifabric as well as Optifine for it to work with Fabric, and no Fabric is required to use ...
Is there any resource pack, data pack, or mod for fabric that gives connected glass textures? I want it to be like Optifine, where the glass only connects to other glass blocks, not just borderless all the time. All mods I find either need optifine or makes the glass connect to all blocks.
Yes, sodium gives drastically better performance, but then you'll miss out on optifine only features, e.g connected textures, better texture packs, shaders, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, forge etc. I get way better FPS with Sodium. Optifine has a bunch of unnecessary features, in my opinion.
I use Fabric and I have OptiFine running with OptiFabric, but when I try o run a texture pack that needs OptiFine doesn't run correctly or appear in the list of texture packs :( I want to use Visual Enchanments, Colorful Containers or BetterVanillaBuilding.
I need something thats compatible with fabric. I reallly like optifine, but optifabric has been giving me a lot of trouble recently... I'd like something to help performance, give me the control over all the little details and visuals, and something that has dynamic lighting and zoom. Basically just optifine but not optifine.
OptiFine has been a thing for well over a decade now, and most players know what it is. Also: The only thing I kinda miss is the zoom from OptiFine There is a mod called Zoomify, it has a setting which mimics OptiFine's zoom 1:1 (+ a lor more optional settings, like zoom scrolling) and my cape. The Capes mod adds support for those.
