Pinnacle Creek is a tributary of the Guyandotte River, 26.6 miles (42.8 km) long, [3] in southern West Virginia in the United States.Via the Guyandotte and Ohio rivers, it is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River, draining an area of 57.23 square miles (148.2 km 2) in a rural area on the unglaciated portion of the Allegheny Plateau.

The Guyandotte River flows through Pineville, and collects its tributaries Rockcastle Creek and Pinnacle Creek within the town. [12] According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.84 square miles (2.18 km 2), of which 0.80 square miles (2.07 km 2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km 2) is water. Wildlife Resources Section, WV Division of Natural Resources Pleasant Creek Wildlife Management Area is located near Philippi, West Virginia in Barbour and Taylor counties. Located on 3,030 acres (1,230 ha) land that varies from wetlands to steeply forested woodlands, the Pleasant Creek WMA rises to an elevation of 1,600 feet (490 m).
Big Ugly Wildlife Management Area is located on 3,061 acres (1,239 ha) [2] near Logan in Lincoln County, West Virginia. The Big Ugly's steep terrain is covered with mixed hardwoods second growth woodlands. Camping is not allowed at Big Ugly WMA, [2] but is available at nearby Chief Logan State Park.
