Columbus City Center (known locally as City Center) was a 1,250,000 sq ft (116,000 m 2), three-level shopping mall in Columbus, Ohio. It was located in the city's downtown, near the Ohio Statehouse, next to the Ohio Theatre, and connected to the Hyatt on Capitol Square hotel. The mall closed and was demolished in 2009.
East Columbus (East Side) is a very large area in Columbus, Ohio. It can be defined as the area bounded by Interstate 70, Interstate 670, and the eastern city limits that stretch miles outside the city outerbelt ( Interstate 270 ).
Amsterdam had its start when the National Road was extended to that point. [1] The town was laid out in 1830. [2] An old variant name of the community was Melgen. [3] A post office called Melgen was established in 1888, and remained in operation until 1901.
In 1961, the mansion was demolished, and a hotel was proposed for the site. In 1987, a medical office building was finally constructed on the site; the structure was replaced with an apartment building in the 2020s. The Schumacher house was designed by prominent Columbus architect Herbert A. Linthwaite in the Romanesque Revival style.

Olde Towne East is a neighborhood located in the historical Near East Side of Columbus, Ohio and is one of Columbus' oldest neighborhoods. The area has over 1,000 homes, some as old as the 1830s, and more than 50 architectural styles as a result of its history.
Amsterdam is a village in northwestern Jefferson County, Ohio, United States. The population was 436 at the 2020 census . The community was founded by Dutch immigrant David Johnson and named after the city of Amsterdam , Netherlands. [ 5 ]
The Columbus Civic Center Historic District is a historic district comprising most of the civic center. It includes Central High School (NRHP-listed, 1924), Columbus City Hall (built 1928), the former Central Police Station (1930), the Ohio Judicial Center (NRHP-listed, 1933), and the Joseph P. Kinneary United States Courthouse (NRHP-listed, 1934). [3]
