WRBQ is a Class C1 FM station with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for most FM stations. The transmitter is on South 50th Street off South Tamiami Trail in Palm River-Clair Mel. [2] WRBQ broadcasts using HD Radio technology. Its HD2 subchannel airs an all-podcast format, simulcasting sister station WJBR 1010 AM.
It was also known as Kerrang! 105.2 FM in the West Midlands from 2004 to 2013 when its studios in Lionel Street, Birmingham, 105.2 was turned over to Planet Rock (which was then replaced by Absolute Radio from 2015) in June 2013. It was London only until May 2018 to make way for Hits Radio.
