Herb Parsons Lake is a reservoir [1] [2] lake located in Fayette County, Tennessee [3] near the town of Collierville [4] in neighboring Shelby County. It is owned and operated by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency , [ 5 ] and is named after Herb Parsons , a famed exhibition shooter from the county.
The Meeman Museum and Nature Center— named for conservationist and journalist Edward J. Meeman, the former editor of the Memphis Press-Scimitar, — is located on the park's grounds. The park covers 12,539 acres (50.74 km 2) and is the most visited state park in Tennessee. [1] The unincorporated community Shelby Forest is adjacent to the park.
Mud Island is a small peninsula in Memphis, Tennessee. [1] It is bordered by the Mississippi River to the west and the Wolf River and Harbor Town to the east. Mud Island River Park is within the Memphis city limits, 1.2 miles (1.9 km) from the coast of downtown. Mud Island includes a museum, restaurants, an amphitheater, and a residential area. [2]

Capleville is a community in the southeast section of Memphis, Tennessee, United States, and is north of the Mississippi border.
