According to police statements, Hunter abducted a woman in her vehicle and was on his way to Kansas city when he was stopped by police. Hunter shot the woman as she attempted to escape, at which point officers shot him. Hunter died at the scene. Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting.
