The Hartman Hotel is an condominium complex and former hotel and office building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was completed in 1898 [2] and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. [1] [3] The six-story Neoclassical building was designed by the local firm Kremer & Hart. The hotel was featured in The Green Book, a segregation-era guide to friendly lodging for African Americans. Twenty other Columbus properties were also included; only four of those remain. Just after 1960, the hotel's Moorish towers and eaves were removed to lower maintenance costs. The third hotel was the longest-lasting.
