South Dakota Highway 324 (SD 324) is a 8.680-mile-long (13.969 km) state highway in the east-central part of the U.S. state of South Dakota. It links Interstate 29 (I-29) south of Brookings with SD 13 west of Elkton .

Traffic fatalities were on the rise and the Patrol was given a mandate to reduce fatal accidents. 1958 saw the Oahe Dam closure completed and a record 240 people died on South Dakota roads. South Dakota Highway 30 (SD 30) is a 17.077-mile-long (27.483 km) state highway in the east-central part of the U.S. state of South Dakota. It connects the north-central part of Brookings with the northeastern part of it. SD 30 was established in the mid-1950s. It had two segments, which were connected by the end of the decade.
