Ottawa Festivals, is a member-based organization based in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, supporting and promoting the festival industry in the region. Established in 1996, the organization comprises 53 festivals that showcase a diverse range of cultures, arts, and entertainment to the local community.
The festival was staged online in 2021, and launched its first in-person edition in March 2022. [ 4 ] The festival principally screens recent Canadian and international feature films, although each year's program also includes one or two historically or artistically significant films from the history of Canadian cinema.
The festival has been supported by private companies and various government bodies such as: the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, the City of Ottawa, Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, Hot 89.9 FM, Labatt Brewery Company, Modelo Especial, Cellection and various local Latin American restaurants.
