Népliget is a station on the M3 (North-South) line of the Budapest Metro. The station lies under the intersection of Üllői Avenue and Könyves Kálmán Boulevard, and named after the city park Népliget. Népliget is also one of the most important suburban, inter-city and international bus terminal in Budapest, which was rebuilt in 2003.
The last major transport change of Budapest was the foundation of BKV in the 1960s. The foundation of BKK was decided on October 27, 2010 by the General Assembly of Budapest. They appointed Dávid Vitézy as CEO. From May 1, 2012 BKK began to do many functions of BKV: Operating public transportation, planning network, lines and time schedules

As of October 2009 the average BKV diesel bus was 16.5 years old and the oldest one of the 1,400 strong fleet was 24 years old, with 3.5 million kilometers to its track record. Yet starting in 2010, a bus replacement program scrapped most of those old buses and increased the ratio of modern, air-conditioned low-floor buses to 80% by 2016. [3]
It is also a suburban bus terminal and a changing place of several city bus lines (68, 85, 85E, 93, 93A, 98, 98E, 136E, 148, 151, 182, 184, 193E, 200E - this run from here to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, 201E, 202E, 282E, 284E), making it the largest public transport hub in Southern-Pest.
