Boruto Uzumaki (Japanese: うずまき ボルト, Hepburn: Uzumaki Boruto) is a fictional character created by Masashi Kishimoto who first appears in the series finale of the manga series Naruto as the son of the protagonist Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Uzumaki.
Boruto defaces the Hokage Mount in order to get Naruto's attention. In his attempt to get chased, he runs into Sarada, who covers for him. Boruto is quickly caught by Shikamaru, who remarks that Boruto and Naruto are very similar, being father and son, which Boruto resents (Shikamaru makes a similar comment about Shikadai and himself).
