The Martin Down Enclosure is an archaeological site on Martin Down, near the village of Martin, in Hampshire, England. It is near the boundaries with Dorset and Wiltshire . The site is a scheduled monument , [ 1 ] and it is one of several archaeological features on Martin Down, such as Bokerley Dyke .
The Ontario Archives was not returned to a solid footing until the late 1940s under Helen McClung. [ 4 ] The Archives moved to the Canadiana Building (14 Queen's Park Crescent West) on the University of Toronto campus in 1951, at which time it was known as the Department of Public Records and Archives.

The Dorset History Centre has scored consistently well in The National Archives Self Assessment programme, which evaluates local authority archive services on a number of key indicators. It received a 4* rating in 2010 – the highest rating which can be awarded.

Martin is surrounded by prehistoric sites, including Bokerley Dyke, [12] and the very long Grim's Ditch which extends into Dorset and Wiltshire. [12] Knap Barrow is 95 metres long and is the longest barrow in Hampshire. [10] The name Martin probably derives from Old English "Maeretun" meaning "boundary farm", or "Meretun" meaning "pond farm". On 7 April 2021, 83-year-old Sir Richard Sutton was killed by his step-son, 35-year-old Thomas Schreiber. Sutton was stabbed several times by Schreiber in his home on his Moorhill estate in Higher Langham, near Gillingham, Dorset. During the attack on Sutton, Schreiber also attacked his mother, Anne Schreiber, stabbing her several times.
