When Arsenal had both Russian and Bulgarian rifles, the SLR (Bulgarian) has slight better quality than the SGL. Minor things like grip plate, that the SGL wasn't really close to Russian modern manufacturing process, like the divots vs pins on the FSB and GB. We also had a glut of sporting Saigas being imported by pretty much everyone.
I received a Bear Creek Arsenal complete upper from a very good friend for Christmas this year. I was blown away at his generosity. Frankly, I would prefer an Arsenal stamped choice (price, weight, etc.) but the SLR series appears to only come with the left folding stock. The real bite will be if I order the SAM7R-61 and Arsenal's milled receiver setup (read trunnion block and tangs) is incompatible for a collapsable stock also.
Arsenal states in the manual that their rifles are laser boresighted at 100M. If so, somebody putzed with the sights afterwards, because while windage was very close, elevation was about 10" high at 100 yards. One and a half turns to raise the front post fixed that. The Wolf Gold ammo is pretty clean.

Diamondback builds all their ARs in house, and makes their own barrels. 100% American company. I own 2 of their ARs and they have ran flawlessly for several thousand rounds.
Accuracy is outstanding! Little better machining on parts and the recoil on the galil ace is smooth and doesn't kick the shit out of you like the Sam7. A Pic rail that runs all the from the rear to the front sight. And the best part is the finish on the ace is solvent proof unlike arsenal. I had a Sam7sf and sold it after a month owning the ace.
