McClain County is a county located in south central Oklahoma.As of the 2020 census, the population was 41,662. [1] Its county seat is Purcell. [2] The county was named for Charles M. McClain, an Oklahoma constitutional convention attendee.
Elected in 1989, Weedn served in the Oklahoma Senate, representing District 15, until 2000. Prior to her public office, Weedn worked as the McClain County Assessor for ten years. She was the first woman to be elected Senator in Cleveland and McClain counties. Weedn remains active in her community outside of the legislature and has two children.

Todd Russ (born January 8, 1961) is an American politician who has served as the Treasurer of Oklahoma since 2023. A Republican, he previously served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives representing the 55th district from 2009 to 2022. He was term limited from the Oklahoma Legislature in 2022. [1]
